Labour union loses bid to represent staff at UK financial watchdog

LONDON (Reuters) – An independent body for labour disputes said on Tuesday it has rejected the application from Unite for union recognition at Britain’s Financial Conduct Authority.

The Central Arbitration Committee said in a statement there is insufficient evidence that most workers at the regulator would be in favour of Unite negotiating in pay talks on their behalf.
